Interconnectedness Between Jews of Color and White Jews
My objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of historical maps to visualize the demographics of ancient races, as the Torah does not provide specific racial demographics. This aspect of my research focuses on comprehending the archaeology, epistemology, and ethnic diversity of various ancient nations worldwide. I do not aspire to be perceived as a theoretical expert; rather, my aim is to grasp the unseen elements of history. It is evident that there exists substantial knowledge regarding the exploitation of the resources and achievements of African nations and the continent as a whole. Furthermore, we live in a society that often divides us by nationality, yet the teachings of the Torah unite us, transcending our political beliefs and racial identities.
It is commonly acknowledged that historical factors contribute to the ongoing struggles of African Americans with their identity. I wish to emphasize that belonging to the Jewish community is a viable option for those who seek it, guided by rabbinic authority and the principles of the Torah. However, the perception of Jewish identity can sometimes appear exclusionary, as some individuals may be reluctant to embrace or acknowledge their place within the Torah's teachings.
I sincerely hope that we can continue to learn from one another. As a prominent Jew of color, I aspire to foster an environment free from animosity, where we can engage in discussions akin to those of the sages of Israel, exploring commentary on the Torah and reflecting on the origins of diverse peoples, allowing individuals of all races to thrive together.
